Your imagination can take you anywhere

The vision you glorify in your heart, this you will become.
The vision you glorify in your heart, this you will become.

Years back, I read somewhere that ‘your future will be created by your imagination’, and I remember thinking at that instance, “what a great quote”. Later, I had an encounter with two security guards who used to man the gate at a former workplace, and this quote suddenly made a lot of sense to me.

Patrick, one of the security guards was friendly, always very helpful, and had an inquisitive mind. Mark, the other guard was also friendly and had a-don’t care attitude.

As time went by, I developed a rapport with Patrick and he told me that one day he will finish night school and find a good job. “I want to work in a big office and drive a big car”, Patrick said to me on the occasions when we had a moment to chat, as I waited for my transport at the gate.

As time went by, I stopped seeing Patrick at the gate and never gave any thought to it, because it was common for security guards to be transferred.

About three or four years down the line, as I stopped at the traffic lights in the city; who pulls-over next to me but Patrick, the security guard who used to man the gate at my former workplace. And yes, he was driving a big van. We were so happy to see each other and exchanged pleasantries. Within 50 seconds before the lights turned green, he told me that he had completed night school and gotten a diploma in Sales and Marketing, and later secured a job with a pharmaceutical firm—which explained the vehicle he was driving. I was so happy for him. This is someone who only a few years back was a security guard, but because he had dared to imagine, his life had changed for the better.

Anyone’s life can change. Yes, it can change for the better—and even for the worse—by the use of one’s imagination. Some people make good use of their imagination by imagining positive outcomes in their lives, and saying things like, “one day I will run a successful business, or I can live a better life than this”, and their life situation changes. Others make bad use of their imagination by imagining negative outcomes in their lives, and saying things like, “I can never get a good job, or I can never be rich”, and sadly, they succumb to a life of misery.

Do you know why this happens? It happens because imagination is the factory of what you want to achieve in life. So from today, start making good use of your imagination and know that:

  1. Imagination on its own is not enough. In addition to imagination, you need to consider that ‘everything is possible’. If you do not believe that everything is possible, you will block ideas from flowing. On the other hand, if you believe that everything is possible, you begin to look at the world differently, and more-and-more you see ways of attaining your heart’s desires, as you will meet people, read books and get ideas to help you.
  2. You become what you imagine, so imagine the best outcome in career, financial status, health, relationships, and all aspects of your life.
  3. When you imagine your future, you begin to change your thoughts, which in turn changes your actions towards helping you to attain your heart’s desires.

Your imagination can take you anywhere. So, what do you want to attain in life—career, health, relationships, recreation, financial status? Remember, if you can imagine it, you can achieve it.

Yes, we lately receive spam comments on pharmaceutical products. Change your settings. Go to settings>discussions.
You can also install plugins. Another way is to only allow logged in people to comment.
      Best of luck.
